Does it cost extra for you to have to travel to our event/shoot?

o We will travel to you at no additional cost if you are located within 75 miles one-way of Springfield, IL . If you live outside of that radius, there will be a small fee for travel. Travel to St. Louis is an extra $25. If you are located outside the Midwestern United States, contact us and we will give you a quote!

Does it cost extra to have a second photographer/videographer at our event/shoot?

o Absolutely not! Two photographers or two videographers come standard with all of our packages.

o We can try our best to make sure we provide you with exactly what you are looking for – we can work in a broad range of styles. Contact us to start talking about what you want!

I have an event tomorrow, but my photographer cancelled! What can you do to help me?

o As long as our schedule is available, we are more than happy to help in any emergency photography/videography situation – contact us for more information.

We’d like our edited video back the same day – is that possible?

o It is most likely possible! It depends on what your video product is – these are handled on a case by case basis. It will cost extra to have the video expedited to you.

What makes you different from other photographers/videographers in the area?

o We began working in film, and have backgrounds in theatre and other creative arts, so we have brought that with us to our photography and videography work. We promise to always work with a client to make sure they get exactly what they were looking for – personal, special, artistic, and beautiful photos or video.

What is your photography style?

o Because we began in film and theatre, we bring a more cinematic flair to all of our photography/videography work. However, we are also very willing to work with our clients to ensure that what we deliver is exactly what they are hoping for! We love collaborating, and believe that that is the best way to work with people.

Do you provide every photo you shoot?

o Not usually. Some photos have people’s eyes closed, while others have focus or lighting issues. We provide all the photos we believe are worth giving to you.

Do you do destination weddings?

o We would love to! However, if your wedding will be outside the Midwest, we will charge for travel to and from the destination.

Do you touch up all of the images from my event/shoot?

o We individually retouch every image we plan to provide to a client. We do basic editing for all images, and on some images we provide detailed editing. We are also always open to suggestions from clients on how to provide the exact images they want!

How many hours do you suggest we set aside for wedding day photos?

o It should be at least an hour and a half, plus travel time if we are going to a second location, but that can be split up to save time (for example, doing the bride’s photos with her bridesmaids and the groom’s photos with his groomsmen before the ceremony)

Why are weddings so much more expensive than, say, a portrait session?

o Because there are so many variables that go into a wedding’s photography. It’s also much more time-consuming as an event. Post-production on the images or video takes much more time as well, because of the amount of footage we take. To ensure that your wedding photography and/or videography is a beautiful representation of your big day, we need to spend the time to take the photos/videos and edit them.

How many images do you typically deliver from:

o An engagement session
– Anywhere from 5-15 photos
o A wedding
– Depends on the package you have chosen. It could be anywhere from a hundred to several hundred photos!
o A portrait session
– Anywhere from 5-25 photos

Do you have liability insurance?

o We sure do! Ask us to provide documentation if you would like to see it.

How do I set up an appointment to meet with you?

o Email us or call us – our info is on our Contact page

Do you have a studio?

o We do not at this time. However, we often shoot on location, and can create a studio-like setting for portrait or fashion shoots.

Do you offer prints?

o We do! We can print in a variety of shapes and sizes and on many different materials (paper, canvas, etc.). Ask us about the cost for what you’re looking for, and we’ll provide you with a quote!

Are you LGBTQ* friendly?

o Of course we are! We love working with any and everyone, and would love to be your photographer or videographer!

What payment methods do you accept?

o We accept payments by cash, check, credit card (2.75% fee), or PayPal (2.9% fee).

What is your payment schedule?

o It depends on what you are hiring us for. Usually payment is due in full for event photography/videography or portrait sessions, etc., at the time of the shoot/event.
o For weddings, we ask for 20% down as a retainer fee and then the remainder is due 7 days prior to the event.

I’m an aspiring model. Can you shoot for my portfolio?

o Of course we can! Contact us to set up your shooting date!

What is your policy for rescheduling?

o We can usually reschedule any event, provided the new date you would prefer is available in our schedule.
